Lime Plaster is the traditional material for period property.

Lathe & Plaster is the combination of traditional plaster applied - usually in three coats - onto timber lathes nailed or screwed to timber supports. Traditional plasters are usually reinforced with horse or animal hair.

Following a disastrous fire the principal areas of Stoke Rochford Hall were burnt out with the destruction of their highly ornate ceilings and traditional lime plaster walls.
